Our explorations for wild strawberries have lead us in new directions at times. We have resisted offering anything other than strawberries but have found some truly exceptional berries. Some of these are called super foods. In addition, the owner was diagnosed with type II diabetes several years ago and has searched for natural ways to control this condition. Not all of the berries offered in this category have anti diabetic properties but have other benefits.
One motivation to offer these berries is price. We have searched for plants but usually find them at very high prices. With the economy being what it is we try to locate seeds first. Growing from seeds is not always the quickest way to get a crop but price helps one to make that decision.
