Alpine strawberries were discovered over 300 years ago in the Swiss Alps. Because they do no produce runners their cultivation spread quickly through Europe and eventually to the U.S. Propagation can be accomplished through plant division or by saving seeds. Seed are produced through open pollination (OP) and are NOT GMO. Varieties/cultivars are isolated from each other to produce plants very close genetically to the parent, though genetic variation does occur.
We offer bulk seed prices for select varieties. This includes 0.33 grams which equates to about 1,000 seeds. 1 gram equates to about 3,200+ seeds. We guarantee the weight, but cannot guarantee the seed count due to variations for each variety and variation by lot. Select the "Size" drop down where available and choose the quantity you need.
